it works so good and my mom uses it as she has her hair done once a week and gets extremly dry scalp and her hair is so shiny and soft . i use the anti frizz i have a perm and my hair would look like a fuzz ball with out it. i use it and then style as usual and its so soft .

It's probably not a good idea to use both at the same time as this will cause your skin to dry up and then become super oily. Try using only one, or switching to one on, say, the weekends, or one in the morning and one in the evening. (Which may even then be pushing it.)
It's more important to keep your skin moisturized by using an oil-free moisturizer and drinking a lot of water, which will also keep it clearer and brighter. Over-scrubbing your skin will actually make your acne worse rather then better.

no i have not used it but i had HORRIBLE acne at one poinnt (knock on wood i dont get it back) and i went to the durmitoligest and he gave me 3 differant things and 6 monthes i went back, nothing was working so i tried proactive, and my skin is beautiful and clear ! try it.best of luck

you can get them at target, or walmart.
but the refills for the pads are like, 12 bucks
and it kind of makes you skin feel like its been stripped of all of its natural oils. moisturizer is good for that.

I got one at Rite-Aid for about $14. The first time I used it, it made my face really tight, dry, and raw. I waited two days and tried it again. Basically, it was no different then any other cleanser I've used. I tried using it with different cleansers, and I felt no difference in the smoothness or texture of my skin.
I used all of the pads it came with, but I didn't buy the refills, as this didn't effect my skin at all, and I'm on the hunt for a cleanser that will actually fight and prevent my acne.
If you have the extra cash, try it, it may be just the product you need for your skin!
They cost about $10-14.
It feels good on your skin and makes it feel SO soft afterwards. It doesn't foam as much as the commercial..

So Use it during the day when you have nothing to do..and just walk around naked and let it absorb on your skin also immediately after applying. Wash your hand too
I don't use the foam, I use sublime bronze by neutrogena. It works pretty good. It's like slimey lotion lol. It sounds gross but it works good. And it stays on your skin until you take a shower. Also all of the self tan products have iodine in them so you kind of cant stay away from hurting your skin.

try the neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash. if you use it twice a day it calms down and clears up pimples. i have had zero problems in terms of it drying out my skin. but as always, make sure you use a moisturiser afterwards, but thats the rule for any cleanser.
i also have not had a single whitehead (touch wood) since using it.
AS FOR the body shop tea tree oil range. absolute waste of time and money. those products are a lie. seriously. they did NOTHING for my skin other than reduce the oilyness a tiny bit and make the pimples red and angry.
they sound good in theory but do bugger all in practice.

How do I store my Neutrogena Wave refill pads?

Well I mysef own the Neutrogena Wave and don't find anything hard about storing the refill pads. When you get the refill pads, open the box from the side where there is a tab so that you can still close the box. Then, carefully open the little pouch where the refill pads are stored. Don't break the bag because you don't want the cleanser drying up. When you want to use it, take one out from the pouch and put the pouch back into the box. I know it sounds really confusing but this keeps the refill pads fresh since they do have soap on them.

I am someone to go to when it comes down to facial cleansing business. I've probably tried it all. So listen up, here are some fun tips!
1) When using a facial cleanser, use hot water at first, because hot water OPENS your pores to let all the cleanser to enter and then sweep back out with all the excess dirt and oil, then end your facial routine with cold water to tighten your pores/ close them right up. :) So remember, hot water = opening pores, cold water = closing pores.
Watch out though! People think that the cleansing part is the most crucial when it comes to taking care of your face. They're mostly wrong. Sure it plays a big role but always remember to MOISTURIZE. If you've got oil-prone skin then use an oil-free moisturizer. Neutrogena comes with those too. If you have dry or sensitive skin..anyway! I'm sure you know the drill. Before you moisturize, if you like, you can use a toner. It hydrates skin and keeps it soft and prepares it for the moisturizer. You may think all this takes a lot of time but it really doesn't! It's worth it too. I actually like to do all this, WHEN I am in the shower. I use the hot shower water to open my pores and then cleanse while I rinse out my shampoo and then when I get out I use cold water from my sink and then I'm ready to head on to moisturizing/toning. It's a real time-saver, as they say. :)
2) For those extra dry days in Winter or Autumn, boil up one big pot of hot water and make yourself comfy. Pull back your hair and make sure you're not wearing any make-up! Put the pot in front of you on some surface. Lean over it as if you were looking at the bottom and then put a clean towel over the back of your head, so that it drapes over your entire head and the pot. Let yourself sit there for a while and indulge in the moisturizing and cleansing power of the steam/vapor. When you're done you can put on some light cream and you'll notice just how soft your face it afterwards. It's like a mini-sauna for your face.:) a mini-facial, if you will. If you're fair skinned you might look red but that's just because of the hot steam. Don't worry, it'll go away and it's totally worth the minute(s) of redness/pinkness.
3) If your lips are feeling chapped and you don't want to put on lipgloss or you've ran out of chapstick just smear a light layer or Vaseline on your lips and those particularly dry spots. You can also dab some on the apples of your cheeks to make it have a healthy shine, not the icky oily kind.

Not only does Hot kill germs, but it's supposed to open you pores. I suggest rinsing your face with warm/hot water BEFORE applying the scrub, then rinsing it off with cold water to close the pores again.

Comfortably warm water. Too hot can cause broken capillaries (the little tiny veins, they show up as red lines) and too cold is uncomfortable lol.

its completely worth it! with in the first week i noticed results! if you use it day and night and like they say your skin will clear up fast!

How come in Australia there aren't a vast collection of Neutrogena products?
when i look in BigW, Kmart and Target there aren't alot of products to choose from and when i look on the neutrogena website there are all these products I have never seen before and they're not available in Australia! And also I just found out that Neutrogena made lipglosses and foundations and stuth. How come we don't have most of the neutrogena products here? Alot of people on yahoo answers will say the skin ID worked and proactiv did not. But they are both 3 step processes involving a cleanser a toner and one other product. They both have salicylic acid so they do the same thing but it makes your skin really dry so u should use a moisturizer with it. If you Want to get rid of your pimples like I did I would use oil free acne wash pink grapefruit cleanser.

How well does the Neutrogena Wave work?
I have skin that tends to get a little oily, and I have occasional, minor breakouts. I just want to know if the Wave worksHow well does the Neutrogena Wave work?
I've been using the wave for about a week and so far it has made my skin SOOO soft! But it hasn't done much for my acne. I have mild acne, and it just seemed to dry it out more. It's great that you're taking the steps to care for your skin like that: it's never too early to start giving yourself a weekly facial at home. I totally LOVE this product. It is sooo moisturizing that it will make your face super silky smooth. The moisture retention lasts about 3-4 days. The recommendation is to use it once a week, which is what I have been doing. It does have Vitamin C that helps with brown spots from sun damage. If you have sensitive skin as I do, overusing Vitamin C can burn your face, so don't overdo it. Unless you're middle-aged, using this once a week is sufficient.

Please do not wear *any* kind of makeup to bed.
It is labeled ';skin clearing'; because it will help eliminate breakouts while you wear it, but you should be advised *not* to wear it at night (during sleep). Wearing it while you sleep will have the total opposite affect, because it will clog your pores and cause more breakouts.
Your skin does most of its repair work while you sleep, so it's important to take off your makeup, wash your face and use a moisturizer for acne prone skin. You may even want to apply a spot healing gel, to individual breakouts.

Don't panic yet... Sometimes things will get worse before they get better. The system may just be bringing it all up to the surface and that would be good.
Stick with it for at least 2-3 weeks, otherwise it just may be the wrong formulation for your skin type.

I prefer foaming cleansers because it feels softer than the gel ones. I used neutrogena few years back but i thought it was too expenive so i switched to Noxzema. its a bit cheaper than Nuetrogena and so far i don't have a single pimple. I have had terrible acne for over 8 years and I prefer Noxzema over any other cleanser.

I am a huge fan of neutrogena products so it may be a little biased when I say that the foaming cleanser works well. It works well for me but it really depends on your skin type. But as with any new product, it will take a little while before you begin to see a change in your face. You'll probably notice your skin clearing up within 2 to 4 weeks. Good luck honey!

It does work if you give it time. No product is going to give u results in days. You have to let your skin adjust to the change and let it accept that you are applying to it. I started by using the bar face soap to wash my face in the morning and at night. Then i bought the blackhead eliminator and i use that in the shower 1st then the bar. I don't feel my face is clean unless I use some sort of scrub and that is what the blackhead eliminator has, little beads.

You shouldn't use the shower gel to wash your face because the gel may contain chemicals that are not necessarily harsh on your body, but on your face. After showering, use a face wash that will help clear ur acne. I am a huge fan of Neutrogena, so I recommend the Anti Stress Control cream wash, it works really well, but it also depends on ur skin type.

Honestly, lots of the brands like neutrogena, garnierm nivea etc.. are not the best acne preventing treatments. A lot of them are fragranced and are made to sell in large quantities.. I tried them ALL before I ended up seeing a dermatoligist for my acne. He told me they're all pretty much useless.
If you just had the odd spot and you're looking to mainly cleanse your skin, they're fine though.
The neutrogena spot gel in the range you looked at is reaaalllyyyy popular at my work with the customers, but I haven't tried it myself. You could easily use that with a good cleanser etc and it could help your acne. Depends on which product she gave you.

I've used the one from Canada as well as the one from the UK, and found the one from the UK works better .. I've been using it since it came out a while ago and I haven't had acne since. It's seriously like the best stuff ever. I love it. There's a foaming wash, exfoliator, and lotion. Just put it on and it's gone the next day.

Can you go to a dermatologist? They can prescribe pills that REALLY help, from the inside. I am on b/c which really helps with this but they have pills that aren't b/c which do the same thing. Then, I use Neutrogena Oil Free Acne wash in the morning and at night. And 2-3x a week I use Queen Helene Mint Julep masque from the drugstore. It works really really good to get rid of redness and everything. You can also use it for a spot treatment, like if I get a zit I put it on there and go to bed with it on and it is usually a lot smaller or gone in the morning.

Neutrogena products are great for some people. But often you can find the same ingredients in generic products. Get samples, they are usually availble at the right stores. Or you could write the company and ask them to send you some samples.
I found that using a very mild face wash, not soap, will cleanse well, then I apply proactiv repairing lotion. The proactiv cleanser doesnt cleanse the face that well. Neutrogena makes a tan-ish clear cleanser that works pretty good and I never had any problems with it. Keep your products to a minimal. Using too many products can make things worse. Don't wear a lot of makeup, keep your hair and hands away from your face as this puts oils and dirt on your face, and you don't want that. Also, find a cheap spot treatment and use it at night. You can also use toothpaste but it has to be the plain old white paste. Dab it on and leave it for a while or all night. Cover it with a band aid so you don't get it on your pillow. Avon make a wonderful face scrub. I think it's called Clearskin Invigorating Cleansing Scrub anti-bacterial/anti-septic. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff. It has a strong ';menthol'; smell that kinda makes your eyes tear up the first few times you use it but it works wonders and really kills the bacteria. It also exfoliates. It's pretty cheap too. I use it about 3-4 times a week.

NO! M.A.C is the way to go! It's very popular with famous people and is the lowest priced makeup used on famous people! It's only about $12 for MAC Studio Fix Foundation at any MAC store in the mall!
neutrogena cosmetics suck.. they r a joke.. i tried one of the foundations.. it sucked i only used it once paid about 13 dollars for it. You cant even tell which color is yours due to the color looks darker from inside but its actually lighter, so ur confused and end up buying the wrong one.. they also dont have any nice colors.. all the colors look like dirt colors they r all dull colors.. i suggest clinique for skin makeup and loreal or lips and eyes.. they have very nice warm colors and clinique is the best for oily skin .. i have oily skin and i use their clarifying foundation.. it keeps oil from forming for HOURS!!! u dont even need to reapply or powder your face.. its great.. try it.. ive been using it for years..

I washed my face with Neutrogena Oil-Free Cleanser. Then I was looking in the cupboard and found an Apricot Scrub. Is it okay to use this since it isn't the same brand as Neutrogena? ProActive is amazing but black heads, I find, are best removed through extractions done by an esethician.
I really dislike clean and clear and nutreogena is very generic. But if your skin is not bad bad bad, then use one of these cheaper brands. ProActive is for those that suffer from severe acne so if you don't, its not needed.
Proactive never worked for me, but I've been using Neutrogena for a while and it's been doing some good.
I also use St. Ive's Apricot Scrub. It really helps to get rid of dead skin and makes your skin feel soft.
It also helps to get rid of makeup and other grit that collects on your face over the course of the day.
I don't think any of these are good lines to use, and I've used all of them. They've only made my acne and rosacea worse. :(
I've used the Arbonne Clear Advantage Acne line and love it!!

I bought this a few days ago and love it. I had softer skin immediatly, however to remove all of the dryness from tanning everyday it took 2 uses. I did notice a little breakout immediatly after use, however that is NORMAL for any new skin cleaning regiment. If it works it cleans you out and makes your break out bit then after it clears in about a week you will be good. I liked it so much I used it on my husband who has battled acne and large pores and blackheads since his early teens. Immediatly his pores were greatly less visible and his skin had a nice even tone. I have excema and connot use anything without burning my face with big crusty welts, however I took a chance since it was neutrogena and it is tailored to sensitive sking. I was glad to take the gamble because my face looks amazing and so does my husband. I say try it out it comrs with 14 pads and if you don't like it just stop using it. What the skin needs is a product that clears pores and kills bacteria, thus preventing hair follicles from clogging and turning into pimples. This is what you should be looking for if you want to get rid of those ugly pimples.

I've had it since March, and used my Proactiv lotion on the pad (big mistake). Now, I've quit using products (except for spot-treatment only) to give my skin a break. Stick with the Wave. Well honestly i don't like it..the pad on it wont get soapy unless its off of the thing..i just buy the pads for it and use those on my face before bed and its working really well..another thing is clean n clears soft purifying cleanser scrub.. i love it!

Most of these types of washes and scrubs are pretty potent in that you can FEEL them working right away. Your skin will begin to tingle and may even burn if you leave it on for too long (depending on how sensitive your skin is). I've used this prod. before, and I actually NOTICED results in my skin a few weeks after I started using it / when the bottle was starting to empty out.
